Is leaving this note on my neighbor’s door too harsh or not harsh enough??
For context, my neighborβ€˜s dog howls and whines when it is left alone. My neighbors leave every morning and are gone most of the day. The issue with the dog howling has only been happening for 1 week, but each day it is getting worse and worse. Saturday was nonstop howling for 6 hours, and it sounded like the dog was trying to break out of a metal crate. I was honestly scared it would hurt itself.

I work from home, and it is really impacting my concentration and mood. I’m not being dramatic at all when I say the howling is SO LOUD and lasts for several hours. I understand dogs need time to adjust to apartment life, but it seems like that adjustment isn’t going to happen without some sort of intervention since it’s consistently getting worse with each passing day.

I don’t want to be that neighbor who leaves passive aggressive notes, but I have never met my neighbors and wouldn’t be able to stop them to talk about it since I don’t know what they look like. I thought I’d leave a note instead of reporting them to management in case they weren’t aware that their dog was making so much noise. Should I add or take anything out of the note?
